The making of… more witch zines! (+ how to get them in avant-premiere)

In the past few weeks I’ve put the finishing touches on some of new zines.  So you can expect an announcement of their release very soon. I’ve mainly been working on a halloween-themed mini-zine featuring Chainsaw Bunny and several issues of Witches’ Brew – because as you know, tis the season. Here you can see some work-in-progress photos and sneak peeks:

I’m participating in CritWitchCon! (+ new zine bundles)

I’m participating in Critical Thinking Witch Con 2022! It’s a witch con that focuses on sceptical / agnost / atheist / secular witchcraft. It’s the second edition and it was formerly known as the SASS Witch Con. Register here to attend the witch con (more info below). I’m one of the vendors at the event and will also definitely attend most of the panels and workshops because the programme sounds awesome and I don’t want to miss anything! 🙂 I expect it will feel like a zine fest or a ladyfest or another DIY event but focused on witchcraft and it’s virtual so you can attend from anywhere. The witch con will also discuss and apply that DIY idea which I’m super excited about.

For this occasion I added two new bundles in my Ko-fi webshop: a quaranzine comix bundle and a self-care mini-zine bundle! You can see some photos below: (And of course I have plenty of witchy zines, stickers, buttons, and spell bags in my shop!)

Zine events in Ghent in September

Come and make or buy some zines in September! If you are in Ghent this month, check out these zine events:

  • This Sunday September 11th I’ll be participating in the Go Local market at Meubelfabriek. I’ll bring my postcards, buttons, (mini)zines and maybe some other things! Sister Ray Zines will share a table with me with her witchy creations.
  • On Saturday September 17th I’m organising another zine-making gathering! All welcome to make zines, do crafts, or just hang out. It take place from 3 pm at the Bijloke park on the picnic benches in between the STAM museum and the Kunstenbibliotheek. Cancelled due to rainy weather!
  • On Saturday September 24th the feminist collective Girls Go BOOM hosts a workshop to make your own mini-zine. This happens at the Meubelfabriek too.

Also, there’s an online zine symposium and zine jam this Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th with super interesting talks and workshops! Make sure to sign up in advance.

I’m closing my webshop(s)…

Yes, I’m closing my Bandcamp webshop in a few days! You can still place an order until August 15th so hurry if there’s something you like. The Lavender Witch shop will close as well so be sure to check out our music and merch while you still can.

-> my Echo zines, postcards, witchy bundles, and Lost Luna music

-> Lavender Witch music and merch

After August 15th, the music of Lavender Witch and Lost Luna can still be listened to on Bandcamp but ordering our music (digital/CD), zine bundles, or merch will no longer be possible there. You can however always contact me in person to buy any of my zines, postcards, buttons, the Lavender Witch CD, and more.

I plan to start a new webshop for my zines soon but in the meantime you can email me to place an order (or suggest a trade).

Huge thanks to everyone who has supported my zine project, my solo project, and my band over the years in whichever way! You’re amazing! ❤
