ECHO is…
my “low-budget DIY feminist publishing and creation project” started in 2001. I make zines, comix, and pamphlets (and sometimes music, spoken word, and crafts too).
Apart from posting about my own zines, I use this blog to announce feminist zine-related news, especially from Belgium, write zine reviews and share articles about DIY feminist zine culture.
(ECHO is not a distro or publishing company!)

How I made my spell bags
On my journey of exploring witchery, I enjoy focussing on the “craft” part of witchcraft and create lots of little “magickal” objects. I’m interested in tools and other witchy things that can be hand-made and used for self-care, self-confidence, and … Continue reading

New: spell bags
I’m so excited to reveal my first spell bags or charm bags! They consist of herbs, beads, and sigils, put together in a cotton bag that I sewed myself. I tried to use as many organic ingredients as I could … Continue reading

Visiting the Huis van Alijn museum in Ghent
This blog post is a bit late but I still wanted to write a bit and show some photos of my visit to the Huis Van Alijn museum (“House of Alijn”) in Ghent a month ago because I really enjoyed … Continue reading

Visiting the Industry Museum in Ghent
Last month I visited the Industry Museum in Ghent (Belgium), formerly known at MIAT. I was especially excited and impressed by their exhibition about the graphic industry and all the machines that were on display: a great variety of printing … Continue reading

Crafty summer projects
Besides making zines and music, I also enjoy doing some crafts once in a while… This summer I’ve been making some new buttons with my button machine (see previous blogpost) as well as sewing a lot of patches on clothes … Continue reading

IZM2019 – folding, sewing, and tidying
I had a rather productive weekend zine-wise, even though I didn’t do any of the International Zine Month prompts. In between working on the zines Same Heartbeats #15 (almost finished) and Brussels Hellhole (together with Sister Ray Zines), I’m tidying … Continue reading
