A few days ago was Buy Nothing Day and while I fully encourage buying less stuff any day (certainly when it’s made by eco-system destroying and workers exploiting capitalist companies), you may still want to give presents to friends or family for the holidays or for another occasion. And that can be a nice thing! So why not support some small independent creators this season? But first, if you like creating stuff yourself, go ahead and make your own gifts. Self-made presents are always the most precious and unique! But you can also offer hand-made goodies made by others and at the same time support independent creators. Take a look at our webshops, websites, or social media. Some of us may even be into swaps! My creative project Echo Zines is one such independent art project and I have several gift ideas available for you:
For me the winter holidays (or the summer holidays in the Southern hemisphere) are the ultimate postcard sending and receiving season. So I’ve prepared two postcard bundles you can send to your friends and family. They are both available in my webshop. In total I’ve created 16 postcards so far over the years. Let’s take a look at all the designs, bundles, and options:
I wish you a revolutionary May Day, Beltane, or Workers’ Day!
May 1st is the pagan holiday Beltane as well as International Workers’ Day so why not try to merge both and add some activism to our witchcraft or some magickal vibes to our syndicalist celebrations?
It’s the time of Yule and Winter Solstice so I thought it might be a good moment to share a little ritual or spell that I did a few weeks ago. In the last few months I’ve been binge-watching YouTube videos and reading piles of books and zines about witchcraft. I’m not entirely new to all-things-witchy – I have been fascinated with it since I was a teenager and more recently was inspired by my band mates as well as witchy zinester penpals and online friends (thank you! ❤ ). At the moment I’m especially interested in witchcraft that’s related to self-care and creativity but I’m also taking in lots of other witchy information. I’m sure I will continue blogging about it (f.e. sharing some of my favourite videos on this subject, I’ve already shared witchy zines, music, etc) and I’m definitely going to be making several zines about witchery!
I was in urgent need of a pause from everything, as I’m sure we all are, so I decided to visit (or escape to) a witch town with two friends.
To do something special for December’s Bandcamp Friday, I assembled two new bundles! These zine/postcard bundles are now available in my Bandcamp webshop.

HOW TO ORDER?
(PS. I can’t promise that they will arrive on time for the winter holidays!)
December and January are perfect months to reflect on the recent past and to look back at stuff that happened. In this post I will share all of the ECHO zines and postcards that I’ve made this year.
If you are interested in any of these zines or postcards, or others, get in touch.
Just in time for the holidays, I have two new postcards available. Each postcard costs 1 euro (+ postage). Mail me to place an order.
In an earlier post, I shared some ideas of things I’m making and selling for the holiday season. Take a look to see if there’s anything there you might be interested in. It includes zines, postcards, and the album of my band Lavender Witch.
Exciting news: I’m participating in two online zine/craft fairs! There’s the Marché créatif féministe organised by Poisson Sans Bicyclette (last year I tabled at their offline event in Brussels) and the Coin Operated Christmas Zine Fair by Coin Operated Press. Follow them on facebook or instagram to find out about what’s happening and how to buy from the participating zinesters and creators.
What I’m selling:
How to order? Send me an email with the items you’re interested in and your address and I’ll get in touch about how you can pay. Also let me know if you have any questions.
Poisson Sans Bicyclette
This online feminist craft fair started today and will continue until December 16th, so plenty of time to discover and order from a variety or great creators!
Coin Operated Christmas Zine Fair
This virtual zine fair happens in the weekend of December 5th-6th and will introduce a bunch of awesome zinesters and their work.
Hello, welcome to part II of showing you what some my creative zine friends make! I won’t keep you with a long intro and would just like to encourage you to take a look at the amazing things they all make and if you like what you see, buy some of it as presents for people you know or for yourself (support artists and small shops while boycotting Amazon and multinationals).
(For more hand-made gift ideas, check out part I here).
