In this blogpost, I’m sharing some creative projects that I worked on this week. For example there’s the ZineWriMo challenge (Zine Writing Month) in November. Even though I’m not following all the ZineWriMo prompts by Sea Green Zines, you should take a look at them because they are fun! Apart from zines, I’m going to show you what I made so far for the magickal grimoire / artjournal course by Molly Roberts…
In the past few weeks I’ve put the finishing touches on some of new zines. So you can expect an announcement of their release very soon. I’ve mainly been working on a halloween-themed mini-zine featuring Chainsaw Bunny and several issues of Witches’ Brew – because as you know, tis the season. Here you can see some work-in-progress photos and sneak peeks:
I enjoy working on several creative projects all at once (can you tell?). There’s so much I want to do and make and I enjoy alternating between different artistic disciplines: a bit of writing, a bit of sewing, a bit of drawing, a bit of music… the more the merrier. Because I rarely set strict deadlines and I do them mainly for fun, these creative projects rarely overwhelm me – instead, it’s what keeps me going.
Here are the creative projects that I’m currently working on:
There are so many ways to home-record your own music, from building a mini-studio to simply using your phone to record yourself playing live. In this blogpost I’ll explain how I recorded the 2 EPs/albums of my solo project Lost Luna: “Shadow play” and “Wish upon a star“. I’ll talk about my own experience, using the materials I already owned. It’s not a manual for how music “should be recorded”, or how others do that, and it’s far from professional but it’s good enough for me to create the songs I want to make.
During the dark winter days I’ve been working on some new projects. I wanted to make things with the witchy magick of these cold days attached to it. These include stickers, (mini)zines, buttons, postcards, spell bags, and Lost Luna music. Some of these you’ll be able to see very very soon!
Here is a sneak peek for some upcoming mini-zines!:
ZineWriMo 2021‘s final day has arrived! This blog post talks about what I did in the second half of this month. (You can read about the first half here). Read on to find out about my zine projects, music news, collection and washi tapes and stamps, witchiness, black out poetry, and upcoming plans:
How is your ZineWriMo (zine writing month) going? Have you been making any zines or done some of the prompts? November is already halfway so it’s time to look back at what I did so far and my plans for the rest of the month.
Tis the season to read witchy zines! In this blogpost I’ve listed some witch-related zines I love as well as a few I’ve made myself and am currently working on. If you scroll down, you’ll find a photo of my witchy altar too! I’m getting really into witchcraft lately and am learning a lot. Any recommendations for witchy zines are always welcome! ❤
