I’m participating in CritWitchCon! (+ new zine bundles)

I’m participating in Critical Thinking Witch Con 2022! It’s a witch con that focuses on sceptical / agnost / atheist / secular witchcraft. It’s the second edition and it was formerly known as the SASS Witch Con. Register here to attend the witch con (more info below). I’m one of the vendors at the event and will also definitely attend most of the panels and workshops because the programme sounds awesome and I don’t want to miss anything! 🙂 I expect it will feel like a zine fest or a ladyfest or another DIY event but focused on witchcraft and it’s virtual so you can attend from anywhere. The witch con will also discuss and apply that DIY idea which I’m super excited about.

For this occasion I added two new bundles in my Ko-fi webshop: a quaranzine comix bundle and a self-care mini-zine bundle! You can see some photos below: (And of course I have plenty of witchy zines, stickers, buttons, and spell bags in my shop!)

Virtual Portland Zine Symposium 2021 – my virtual zine table

Zines, mini-zines and postcards displayed on yellow fabric. Zine titles are Do it yourself care, Yngwho, Same Heartbeats, Scissors & Chainsaws, Space Invasion, This Bunny Kills Fascists, From Spice Girls to Riot Grrrls, and Witches' Brew.

It’s Portland Zine Symposium this weekend and because of the ongoing pandemic it’s taking place online. But that has the advantage that more people can attend and participate! Like me!

So tomorrow I’m going to take a few of Portland Zine Symposium’s virtual workshops and during the entire weekend I will be “tableing”. Are you curious to see my virtual zine table? You can find all my zines in my zine catalogue and I have a few zine bundles in my webshop too.

Contact me by email if you’re interested or if you have questions. 🙂

By the way, at the moment I have these special surprise bags available (More info):

Here are a few more photos of my virtual zine table: (Scroll down to know how YOU can table too!)

Coming soon: Queer Zest Zine Fest (virtual!)

Queer Zest Zine Fest is happening this summer! Don’t miss it! It’s virtual and I’m super happy to be tableing there with my zines. The fest takes place on August 7th-8th but you can already find them online.

More info: QZZF’s website

Today’s International Zine Month prompt is to look up virtual zine events to attend in the near future so voila! Which virtual zine events are you planning to “go” to? Any recommendations for this summer?

So now I’m going to relax and read some zines (been doing well so far with my read-at-least-one-zine-a-day goal) and I’ll leave you here with a photo with some of the zines and postcards I will be selling at Queer Zest Zine Fest (get in touch if you’re interested in any of them):

IZM2019 – folding, sewing, and tidying

I had a rather productive weekend zine-wise, even though I didn’t do any of the International Zine Month prompts. In between working on the zines Same Heartbeats #15 (almost finished) and Brussels Hellhole (together with Sister Ray Zines), I’m tidying and re-organising some of my zine tools. I just bought a whole lot of new washi tapes (they were cheap and pretty so I couldn’t resist), along with colourful paper and stamps. I used to keep the washi tapes and the stamps each in a (small but pretty) box but now I moved them to some (bigger) drawers that are easy to take out and use as a box when I’m working with them.

I’ve also been folding lots of mini-zines last weekend. I store the mini-zines I make in their own super practical box with separate compartments for each title. As you can see there is one space left, so that encourages me to make a new mini-zine soon!

Finally, I made a kind of banner I can attach to the table cloth I use at zine fests. I’ll be using it very soon at Swindon Zine Fest and North West Zine Fest. Super excited about tableing there, together with ESCzine!

Ladyfest Maastricht 2019 rocked!

You’ll be able to read more about it in Same Heartbeats #15 but here are already a few photos I took at Ladyfest Maastricht 2019:

Meeni Levi and I were invited to speak on a panel about alternative feminist media together with Sietske of the Bloed Aan De Muur podcast, moderated by Rubi of Maastricht Student Radio, who recorded it too (and shared it with Bloed Aan De Muur). It was a super interesting discussion!

Meeni Levi and I also tabled with our zines and sold really well (we didn’t know what to expect):

Here you can see a display of Ladyfest and other feminist/queer posters (including some made by me, ha!):

There were also plenty of workshops, performances and bands…

Ladyfest lives on! (For almost 20 years now – the first one took place in Olympia WA, USA in 2000! 😮 )
